Why we built this
We keep the floor running. Attendance is captured at the kiosk instead of a register, shifts carry their own break, grace and overtime rules, and next week's roster is drafted by department before anyone has to chase it. When someone does not show, the line supervisor knows within minutes rather than at the end of the shift — and the worker gets a WhatsApp asking why, not a mark against their name. Everything else — leave balances, payroll export, the reports a plant manager actually reads — comes off the same record.

Shift rules and rosters
Break, grace and overtime rules were added, so a night shift crossing midnight counts as one shift, not two.
WhatsApp joined the floor
Absentee pings and an HR bot meant a no-show got a message within minutes, not a mark at the end of the shift.
Payroll and reports off the same record
Overtime, leave and department reports now read from the same punches attendance already captures.
