Frequently asked questions

What happens if the kiosk loses network?

Punches are stored on the device and synced when the connection returns, so a network drop on the shopfloor does not cost anyone their attendance.

Can one worker punch in for another?

Not with a PIN they do not have. Each worker authenticates as themselves at the kiosk, which is the point of the PIN rather than a shared card.

How is overtime calculated?

From the shift's own rules — when the shift ends, how much grace it allows, and when overtime starts — applied to the actual punches. Night shifts crossing midnight count as one shift.

What happens when somebody does not turn up?

The absence is flagged live and the worker gets a WhatsApp asking for a reason. If nobody answers, it escalates to the supervisor on the rules you set.
